Description

Several masterpieces have been written for a piano and string quartet, including Robert Schumann’s well-known Piano Quintet. André Mathieu also wrote a spectacular piano quintet in a late-Romantic style. The young pianist Jean-Michel Dubé is known for his albums dedicated to the music of André Mathieu, one of which includes all the chamber music of the Québécois composer played with the musicians of Les Violons du Roy. In this performance around the Gilles Tremblay piano, they will be reunited again for the first time.
